When I photographed Sunset and Dallas’ wedding at The Barn at Valley Brook Farm in Dawsonville, it was the combination of a charming rustic location, a photogenic young couple in love, and a beautiful summer day. Needless to say it was a pleasure being there.
As always, I planned to do a combination of posing as well as candid photos, but they were so natural and comfortable, there was no need to get in their space. The photos themselves showcase how not only they, but their entire family, were so comfortable and easy going. You can see how relaxed and genuine they were. Some of my favorite moments to capture were between the bride and groom and their parents.
It is always nice to see how each couple chooses to represent their unique styles and personalities. Sunset and Dallas chose to celebrate their love of beer, boots and the countryside. As a symbol of their union they chose to brand a piece of wood with their initials, symbolizing the start of their new life together. Another special detail of their wedding was their choice to make it an ‘unplugged’ ceremony, asking guests to turn off phones to keep everyone present and enjoying the day.
To end the event, friends and family gathered in to send the couple their best wishes.
